Hey friends!

When planning your elopement, choosing where to stay sets the stage for your your whole day, and even a longer period of time if you’re doubling up your elopement as your honeymoon. Utah has plenty of options from rustic ma & pop inns, to super luxurious resorts. When deciding where to stay for your elopement, consider proximity to where you want to get married, and how you want your digs to feel. Is it a jumping off point for hiking or do you want to spend your time chilled out by the pool? There is a ton of variety on here of different places, Utah has so much to offer!

My pup Roland and I stay here at least a couple of times a year because it’s the perfect blend of feeling like you’re on vacation, but being close to a ton of cool outdoors activities. It’s nestled on a bend in the Colorado River, with plenty of desert formations nearby to checkout. I love how cute the rooms and cabins are, and there is a tasty restaurant and winery on the property. Red Cliffs Lodge is the perfect blend of feeling well taken care of, and access to all Moab has to offer.

Boulder Mountain Lodge

Boulder and Escalante are two of the COOLEST towns in Utah. They sit amidst Utah’s Grand-Staircase Escalante National Monument, and there is endless hiking, the scariest/coolest road ever and the most delicious place to eat anywhere around. I’m not being hyperbolic, I would make the 4 hour trip to have dinner at Hell’s Backbone Grill any day of the week. It’s run by the most amazing women who have created an entire economy out of building and supported local and sustainable farms. The restaurant and Boulder Mountain Lodge sit on the same property, making this the go to choice for a foodie to stay for their elopement. (I literally dream about their Jenchiladas, so you might run into me there..)

Under Canvas Glamping

Moab’s Under Canvas is exactly what glamping is all about- cozy and well thought out accomodations, without sacrificing the wonderful feeling of sleeping outside in nature. Their tents feature lots of meaningful touches, and there are lots of walking paths leading to their campfire area. They even host live music there on certain nights! Under Canvas is a short drive from Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and many other Moab staples. I’d highly suggest this spot for your elopement stay if you love to camp, but want to do something a little special for your elopement trip!

Amangiri Resort

Amangiri Resort is the pinnacle of luxury. It’s located down a private road surrounded by Navajo sandstone, a quick drive from Page, Arizona and the Las Vegas airport (they offer a shuttle service!). If you are looking for a stay for your elopement where you’ll be pampered and totally at peace, this is your spot. They offer tons of activities, so you could spend an entire honeymoon/elopement week here exploring and have plenty to do.

Vacation Inn

The Vacation Inn, in Manila Utah is my kind of place. Run by the most amazing family, it feels like you’re at home the second you pull into the driveway. It has that sort of charm you’d expect in a small town like Manila, along with the most wonderful hospitality. It sits about twenty minutes from Flaming Gorge reservoir, and makes an excellent elopement stay for a couple who wants to prioritize outdoor activities like fly fishing, boating and hiking.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this gives you some pointers on where to stay for your Utah elopement! If you are interested in having a BFF document your elopement day, please reach out!
