2020 | A Year of Snapshots Across the Deserts of the Southwest

This is not a post about my “best photographs of 2020.” I’ve done that just about every year of my business. It’s such a fun reflection on how much I’ve grown and all of the places my work has taken me, but this year, that didn’t feel right. So instead, I wrote out all of my favorite moments that I was lucky enough to share with my couples, all of the moments that felt even bigger because of all of the odds that had to be overcome for them to unfold.

This is a post full of my heart, and the hearts of the people who invited me into their lives this year. The moment where a bride cried seeing the vast overlook where she would finally be married to her partner, the moment where I felt more connected to the Earth than I ever had before, because of the openness of the people I was with, and the moments I felt the most powerful feeling of all- This is where I belong. So, here are some snapshots of those things. They might mean something to you, they might only mean something to the people in them, but they mean everything to me.

Thank you for letting me be your witness.

xx Haley, Roland, and Jane.
