Roadtrip Elopement through Moab, Utah

Moab Roadtrip Elopement

Every elopement I witness, feels monumental...this whole elopement day felt like it was building and building to their sunset vows. We spent time driving all over the desert, taking sights in, and sometimes just sitting on a rock to feel the place.

Right after their cliff side vows, Victoria told Kyle it felt real now. They had signed the paperwork a few days prior, but a marriage isn’t about paperwork, is it? An elopement ceremony is about carving out a space in this vast and limitless world, to acknowledge you collided into just the right person for you. Despite your flaws, despite timing and the world and everything- you’ve made a decision to entwine your lives together. Paper or not, a beautiful thing.

Couples often ask me what they would do with an eight hours of photography, and that’s a sort of long answer, but here’s the short of it. We’ll hang out, hike, drink champagne, dance under the stars. We spent maybe only about 30 minutes total doing posed photographs, the rest of the time was me documenting Victoria and Kyle experiencing the desert of their elopement day.

Keep scrolling to see their Moab elopement that took them from Arches National Park, to a little secret riverside butte spot, to Canyonlands National Park.
